I think I found a bug in the Snow Globe. I never got a chance to talk to Arwyl (the head Dryad), so I wasn't able to use the easy way. This is how the easy way works though. Enter the dragon's cave and get the broken Amulet of the Ages. Leave the cave and talk to Hodd in the northwestern corner. Have him repair the amulet and then have Arwyl (northeastern corner) enchant it. I was hostile to the dryad's ever since I entered the Snow Globe, so I wasn't able to have her enchant it. Showing the repaired and enchanted amulet to Winter Fang supposedly damages him and reduces both his AC and his SR.
Neverwinter Enchanted Key Hack
Optional QuestsI managed to get the whole story out of the henchmen at level 16 (my starting level for this chapter), so if you are at least that, you should have no problems getting or doing all these quests. I have one thing to bitch at here - I was never given the chance to continue my relationship with Aarin, because they took me amulet away! There is has been done. Daelan Quest - Find the SpearDaelan is looking for the means to unite the Uthgardt Tribes. He is searching high and low for the Uthgardt Ceremonial Spear. If you help the Elk Tribe find a cure for the plague, Commander Zokan will give you the spear. Otherwise you will have to pry it from his cold, dead fingers. Give it to Daelan to have him upgrade your amulet. Sharwyn Quest - Find the SongSharwyn tells you a tale of a young elf's quest to find the true meaning of love. She wants you to find the song that he composed after he finished his quest. You can find the scroll containing the song in the easternmost room in the Creator Ruins. Pick it up and give it to Sharwyn to get your reward. Grimgnaw Quest - Find the DaggerGrimgnaw intends to become one of the top ranking members of his cult. To do so he must find a special dagger, a dagger that is blessed for just that purpose. Where do you find the dagger that he seeks? It is in a chest in the southeastern corner of the Coldwood, right next to where you fight Vaath. Give the dagger to him to get the final upgrade for his amulet and a small amount of experience. Linu Quest - Find the SeedLinu is looking for a seed that even her goddess can't track down. Good thing that there is one in a pile of rubble outside of the Creator Ruins! Grab it and give it to her to have her pendant upgraded. Boddyknock Quest - Find the ScaleBoddyknock is looking for a scale of a dragon damaged by neither spell, nor magical weapon. There is such a scale lying around in the lair of the dead brass dragon's lair. The lair is in the eastern part of the Spine of the World area. Grab it and give it to Boddyknock to upgrade the ring he gave you earlier. Tomi Quest - Find the AshesTomi is looking to remedy a mistake that he made in his past. He is looking to replace his old master's jar of hero ashes and asks you to help him. Go to the Elk Tribe Fort off of the Homestead area and grab the Ashes of Running Wolf from the urn in the central northern room. Give it to Tomi to have your Ring of the Rogue upgraded. Rolgan's TrialTalk to Neurik in the Temple of Tyr to get this strange quest. It is worth great experience, if you manage to get at least four out of five jurors to say that your client is innocent. Talk to Rolgan and Edegar in the Temple of Tyr right away to get their views. Then head to Beorunna's Well in the northwest corner and talk to Dalcia, Vanda and Palla. Don't try to bribe those three - they don't take kindly to it at all - just put trust in their natural sense of honor. There are two more people to talk to in the Mercenary Enclave. The first is Zed - heal him (with spell or kit) and he will tell you a little about Giff, the victim. You can easily bribe Jevon as well, but that may have lasting effects on the verdict (I'm not to sure on that). Go to the Drinking House next and offer Lodar some drinks to get him to loosen up. He'll tell you about Giff's cheating ways and Giff's hatred for the Uthgardt. Averik can be bribed, but it isn't necessary. Return to Neurik to begin the trial. During the trial you can choose most conversation choices, but try to refrain from blaming the situation on drinking, or the fact that the trial is only happening because Rolgan is an Uthgardt. Never use those options and you should get a four or five torch rating. Always make mention of the poisoning and the cheating! If you follow this advice you should do well here. After the trial Neurik will reward you. Take your reward and be proud of yourself for doing the right thing! Recover the Star SapphireTalk to Husher in the Trading Post to get this quest. He is a gem collector and he is searching for a valuable jewel that is supposedly in the area. He offers to pay you 3000 gold for its return! Go through the Coldwood area and exit via the northern exit. Smash your way through the swarms of the undead to get to the northeastern corner. Layenne's Tomb is guarded by a Vampire Champion there - use fire or magical weapons to kill all vampires. Enter the tomb after you finish killing it. Layenne's Tomb is full of the undead. Make sure that you are immune to fear (Daelan's quest item will do that) and have the ability to fully damage the undead minions here (+3 crushing weapons) before heading in. There are a couple of things to do in here, so be prepared for a prolonged stay. Aside from the vampires and lich warriors, there are no new enemies here. Just keep on the lookout for swarms of enemies and take them down a few at a time. Head south along the first hall. At the first intersection you will be attacked by some lich warriors - search the chests after the battle to find the Succubus Stone. Go south and turn to the east. Talk to the Succubus and give her the Stone. Tell her to unlock all the doors (makes your life a little easier) and then proceed to the north. Grab both of the gems, as well as the ring and the necklace. You'll get a dagger for the second item, and upon giving her the last item, the succubus will attack you. Now go to the northwestern chambers to find the other two gems. You might want to grab the Tome of Power from the room to the west of the Star Sapphire room, if you have access to Eltoora's Lab. Go to the southernmost chamber and place each of the gems on their rightful pedestal. The Gem of Honor goes on the northwestern pedestal, the Gem of Pain goes onto the southwestern pedestal and the Gem of Duty goes onto the southeastern pedestal. Use your imagination to place the Gem of Misery and be prepared to receive the Star Sapphire. Bring it back to Husher for your reward. Save the Supply LinesRolkid, of the Mercenary Enclave, is looking for someone to help him secure the army's supply lines. He needs for you to track down two orcs and bring him back their heads. He offers you 500 gold per head. Each of the orcs that you are required to kill will offer you a subordinate's head in place of their own - accepting the offer will result in an alignment drop. Head north to the Coldwood and slay all the orcs you find until you get to the southeastern corner of the map. Slay Vaath there to get the first of the needed heads. Bring it back for the meager reward. The second orc, Guzud, can be found in a cave to the northwest of Fort Ilkard. Enter the cave and proceed to the central area to find the orc. Slay him on the spot and grab his head. Free his prisoner to get an item needed for the next quest, the Feather of Peace. Return the head to Rolkid to get another reward and the opportunity to get a third, and higher bounty. Head west to the Moonwood. Enter the cave in the western wall to find the caves where Obould Many-Arrows is hiding. Go to the southwest and then turn to the east in the caves. As you begin to head east, you will stop fighting orcs and will start fighting drow mercenary units. These are far more difficult to deal with than orcs, so watch out for your hides. Deal with the priestesses first, followed by rogues, mages, and then the rest. The rogues are nasty with their Sneak Attacks! In any case, hack your way through the hordes to find the king. Slay him where he stands and return to collect your reward. Persuade Rolkid to give you a higher reward and he will give you a magical kama. Investigate the Elk Tribe and the Siege of Fort IlkardTalk to Yusam up by Beorunna's Well (the actual well!) to get this quest. He wants you to see what is up with his wayward cousins! Apparently, they have been attacking the settlements to the south and he wants to know why. You can only successfully complete one of these quests, seeing as to how both of them will turn you against the other side. Good characters will want to help the Elk Tribe, while evil characters will want to kill them. In any case, lets see how much of both parts can be done without screwing up either side! The first thing you will want to get is the Feather of Peace, an item that will allow you free access to the Elk Tribe Fort. You can get it from the prisoner in Guzud's lair - refer to the above quest for the actual location. With it in hand the Elk Tribe members within the fort will let you walk freely amongst them. Head to Fort Ilkard and talk to Commander Dramas in the northwestern building. Tell him that you'll help with the problems that they are having and leave the fort via the western gate. Kill all the Catapult Commanders and then destroy the catapults and the ballistae. Once all six are destroyed return to Commander Damas for a reward, and to get the next part of the quest. The second part of the quest is to bring back the head of Subchief Arness. The subchief is just west of where the catapults were, but up on the ridge. Kill the guy and bring his head to Damas for your reward. The next part of the quest will send you after Commander Zokan, but you will actually want to talk to the guy. Go to the west of Fort Ilkard and enter the Homestead area. The Elk Tribe Fort is in the northeastern corner of the map. Talk to the guard to gain entry to the fort - you will have Persuade him, if you don't have the Feather of Peace. If you can't persuade him, you will have to fight for entry and kiss helping the good guys goodbye. Once inside the keep, there are a few things to do. In one of the northern rooms you will find the Ashes of Running Wolf. Grab it and then search the place for three tomes - one on seamanship, one on horses and one on flight. You can use these to open the locked treasure rooms in the south. Just place them on the right bookshelves to open the gates. Talk to Commander Zokan when you find him and talk to him about Dramas and the problems they are facing. Turns out that he will drop the alliance with Luskan, if you help him get a cure for the plague that his soldiers are suffering from. Return to Commander Dramas and 'convince' him to give you the cure. You will have to Persuade him to lower the price to 500 gold, but it is worth it in the long run. If you threaten him, he will attack you, and you can always grab the cure off of his body. When you have the cure give it to Zokan to get the Uthgardt Ceremonial Spear and the Dreamcatcher. Give the spear to Daelan and the Dreamcatcher to Yusam. Both quests are now done! Deliver Eckel's LetterTalk to Eckel in the Settler's Barracks in Fort Ilkard. Offer to deliver his note for him to begin this easy quest. Head west out of town and into the Homestead area. Keep going west to find the homesteads themselves. Search the southern house to find the Tome of Robes and the northern house to find Eckel's wife. Quest complete! Working for AkulatraxasYou can find Aku in her lair in the second Moonwood area. She lives in the northern central area. She asks you to kill the Hill Giant Chieftain and wants his head to prove it. The Hill Giant Caves are in the northwestern corner of the second Moonwood area. Make sure that you are equipped to kill lots of Hill Giants before entering the caves. Enter the caves and proceed to the center of the area. Go down the stairs and plow your way to the southwest. The chieftain is there with his head ripe for the taking. Bring it back to Aku for your reward. Gorgotha the Gold DragonTalk to Gorgotha in her lair in the eastern part of the Spine of the World area. She wants you to kill Klauth, an Ancient Red Dragon. Head to his lair in the Fire Giant Lair and bring the Dead Dragon Sphere along with you. Give it to Klauth to cripple him and then kill him in battle. You will get a nice belt from Gorgotha for bringing in his head. For more information, refer to the above Dealing With Dragons section. Crafting With BooksThere are five more recipes that you can make stuff with in Eltoora's Lab. There is no quest to find them here. The first, the Tome of Boots is in a chest near the sundial in the town of Beorunna's Well. The second, the Tome of Power, is in Layenne's Tomb. The Tome of Robes can be found in the southern homestead in the Homestead area. The Tome of Amulets can be found in the Creator Ruins, in the northeastern chambers. The last tome, the Tome of Rings can be found in the dead brass dragon's lair in the western Spine of the World area. 2ff7e9595c
