How to test local scripts with cucumber and capybara in a rails app?
I am new to ruby and rails development and trying to setup my first project using cucumber and capybara. The test I have written up until now runs and reports the expected outcome correctly, however I am not sure how to run these tests in a test environment of sorts that would run on the site. I have created a rails application using the 'rails generate' command, which I think should create a rails test environment for me, however when I run the cucumber test, it does not seem to recognize the files I've generated.
The code is below:
#features/support/step_definitions/my_steps.rb
When /^I go to the login page$/ do
visit '/my_app/login'
end
When /^I enter my login credentials$/ do
fill_in'my_user_login', :with =>'my_user_login_string'
fill_in'my_password', :with =>'my_user_password_string'
end
Here is what my test looks like:
#features/support/steps/my_steps.rb
When /^I go to the login page$/ do
visit '/my_app/login'
end
When /^I enter my login credentials$/ do
fill_in'my_user_login', :with =>'my_user_login_string'
fill_in'my_password', :with =>'my_user_password_string'
end
So here is the error I am getting
